molecular function
Elemental activities, such as catalysis or binding, describing the actions of a gene product at the molecular level. A given gene product may exhibit one or more molecular functions.
enzyme activity
physical property of an enzyme, measured in katal = 1 mol / s, or enzyme unit (U) = 1 μmol / min
protein binding
interacting selectively and non-covalently with any protein or protein complex (a complex of two or more proteins that may include other nonprotein molecules)
DNA binding
Any molecular function by which a gene product interacts selectively and non-covalently with DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid).
channel regulator activity
Modulates the activity of a channel. A channel catalyzes energy-independent facilitated diffusion, mediated by passage of a solute through a transmembrane aqueous pore or channel.
catalysis
process of increasing the rate of a chemical reaction
catalysis
process of increasing the rate of a chemical reaction
amylin receptor activity
Combining with amylin to initiate a change in cell activity.
